This morning I went for a run along the Rainbow Basin Natural Area scenic route. It turned out to be 4.7 miles. The first two are pretty much uphill with a few ups and downs. I went thru some areas surrounded by rock walls that made me feel small before opening back up to the desert mountain views of the basin. The second half felt like I was running downhill for the most part and had more Joshua trees throughout the area. The rocks are colorful, fitting for the name, Rainbow Basin.
This joshua tree sits right along the trail.
Have a great day!
