FGT #17: Unbalanced Indoor Plant

For Greener Thumbs, Tip #17: Is your plant leaning to one side? Does your plant display symptoms of phototropism? You will know it does if your plant seems to be leaning towards a light source. You may see the leaves all pointing towards the light source. It will seem to be growing towards that light as well. It’ll become more and more pronounced the longer you leave the plant in the same position.

I have a light lover plant who will lean towards the closest window. I have to rotate its pot every week to prevent it from being completely leaned to one side. The best way to keep your plant balanced is to rotate the pot weekly. Stick to about a quarter turn each time you turn the pot. This helps keep the plant balanced looking in its pot.
